Upcoming
Harsh Collective is pleased to announce our upcoming online exhibition and Zine, Irresolute.
The word resolution, “a firm decision to do or not do something,” implies finality. It exists in a world of black and white—to falter is to fail. This, combined with their often lofty nature and typical root in self-loathing, make New Year’s resolutions veritable recipes for disaster.
Irresolute reminds viewers that (1) it’s alright to indulge in (guilty) pleasures; (2) self-improvement is not linear, goals and methods can change; (3) happiness is not a destination, it does not live on the other side of an accomplishment.
Submission deadline: 1/26/25, 11:59 pm ET
Zines
Harsh Collective's ultimate goal is to create a 'zine for each exhibition that is written, designed, and published in-house. The purpose of this publication is to allow viewers to engage with our exhibitions intellectually. Our different articles allow readers to understand our artists' work at different levels and offer the chance to dive into the world of art history in small, digestible doses.
