Ava Kirby is an oil painter currently living and working in Brooklyn, New York. With the accessibility of having a camera in our pockets, the images we capture reflect our interests and obsessions. Kirby draws inspiration from her meticulous documentation of ruffled fabric and unmade beds, using these elements as fuel for her practice. Her paintings strive to redefine fleeting moments, presenting them as depictions reminiscent of landscapes.
